Nishat Motors has officially launched the JAECOO J5 battery electric vehicle (BEV) in Pakistan, announcing prices for the locally assembled electric SUV on Friday, November 6, 2026.

What happened?

Nishat Motors, the official distributor of Omoda and JAECOO vehicles in Pakistan, revealed the J5 BEV prices and booking details at 12 PM on Friday. The electric SUV is assembled locally by NexGen Auto, a subsidiary of the Nishat Group, and is described as Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric SUV.

Key details

  • JAECOO J5 BEV Comfort: Rs5,999,000 ex-factory, with a booking amount of Rs1,200,000.
  • JAECOO J5 BEV Premium: Rs6,699,000 ex-factory, with a booking amount of Rs1,500,000.
  • The prices are introductory launch prices and are valid only until November 30, 2026.
  • Deliveries of booked vehicles will begin in January 2027.
  • The J5 BEV is now available at authorised dealerships across Pakistan for display and booking.

What it means for people in Pakistan

The J5 BEV gives buyers a locally assembled electric SUV option at a starting price below Rs6 million, with bookings already open at dealerships. Because the launch prices are introductory and expire on November 30, 2026, anyone considering the vehicle should confirm the final price with a dealer before booking. With deliveries starting in January 2027, the launch also adds momentum to Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market, where more locally assembled options are steadily becoming available.
