Petrol will cost Rs346 per litre and high-speed diesel Rs378 per litre from Saturday, November 7, 2026, after the federal government announced another cut in fuel prices on Friday.

What happened?

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notified the revised rates on Friday, November 6. It is the latest in a run of daily price cuts this week, with petrol now Rs23.06 a litre cheaper than it was on November 4, and diesel Rs13.52 cheaper over the same period. The new rates apply from November 7.

Key details

  • Petrol falls by Rs6.59 per litre, from Rs352.59 to Rs346.
  • High-speed diesel falls by Rs4.25 per litre, from Rs382.25 to Rs378.
  • Taxes and duties remain unchanged at Rs114 per litre on petrol and Rs100 per litre on diesel.
  • Under a 30-day arrangement, oil refineries are absorbing a cumulative impact of about Rs15 billion on the petroleum levy.
  • Fuel prices have been fixed on a daily basis since July 2026, so changes in international oil prices reach consumers more quickly, and OGRA now publishes the revised prices on its website each day.

What it means for people in Pakistan

Motorists and transport operators will pay less at the pump from Saturday, and the diesel cut matters beyond private cars: diesel powers freight, agriculture and public transport, so lower diesel prices can ease costs across the goods and services people use every day.
