Pakistan’s total cement dispatches edged up slightly in October 2026, as stronger domestic sales more than offset a fall in exports, according to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) and reported on November 4, 2026.

What happened?
APCMA’s monthly figures show total dispatches reached 4.810 million tons in October 2026, up 0.37 percent from 4.792 million tons in the same month last year. Domestic sales drove the increase, while export volumes declined.

Key details

  • Total dispatches: 4.810 million tons in October 2026, up 0.37 percent year on year from 4.792 million tons.
  • Domestic dispatches: 4.041 million tons, up 1.17 percent from 3.994 million tons in October 2025.
  • Export dispatches: 768,754 tons, down 3.67 percent from 798,019 tons a year earlier.
  • North-based mills recorded total dispatches of 3.397 million tons, down 3.13 percent, and no exports in October, compared with 114,082 tons a year earlier.
  • South-based mills recorded total dispatches of 1.41 million tons, up 9.90 percent from 1.29 million tons.
  • For the first four months of fiscal year 2026-27 (July to October), total dispatches rose 2.93 percent to 17.953 million tons, with domestic sales up 5.93 percent to 14.889 million tons and exports down 9.51 percent to 3.064 million tons.

What it means for people in Pakistan
Steady domestic cement demand is a useful sign for construction activity, from housing to infrastructure projects, and it supports jobs across the building supply chain. Softer exports, however, show that producers are leaning more on the home market, so construction costs and material availability at home remain worth watching for anyone building or renovating.
