Petrol will cost Rs369.06 per litre and high-speed diesel Rs391.52 per litre from Wednesday, November 4, 2026, after the government announced a fresh cut in fuel prices on Tuesday. Petrol is down Rs5.45 per litre from Rs374.51, while diesel is down Rs3.68 from Rs395.20, in the second price revision in three days.

What happened?

The revised ex-depot prices were set under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism, with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notifying the new rates. Fuel prices have been fixed on a daily basis since July 2026, replacing the earlier fortnightly cycle, so changes in international prices reach consumers more quickly.

Key details

  • Petrol: Rs369.06 per litre, down Rs5.45 from Rs374.51.
  • High-speed diesel: Rs391.52 per litre, down Rs3.68 from Rs395.20.
  • The new prices took effect from November 4, 2026.
  • The previous revision on Monday had already cut petrol by Rs3.40 and diesel by Rs7.76.
  • The prices include taxes and duties of Rs114 per litre on petrol and Rs100 per litre on diesel, according to the report.

What it means for people in Pakistan

For motorists, the cut brings some relief at the pump, especially for daily commuters. Because diesel powers goods transport, buses and farm machinery, a lower diesel price can also ease pressure on transport costs and, over time, on the prices of essential goods.
